FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH
306 College Street (Located at the corner of College and Ward Streets) Carrollton, Georgia 30117
The 9:00 service celebrates the worship of God around the familiar sounds of the keyboard, piano and organ. We strive within the context of our worship to reach for excellence through music and message. The congregation does receive the Lord's supper (communion) each week as a part of the experience in both services.
If you want to learn more about Jesus and meet others in the church, Sunday classes are a great place. There are classes that cover a wide range of topics for all different age groups. Click here for a detailed list of Sunday classes.
The contemporary sound of this service is centered around the leadership of a praise band. Many different pieces of music are used in our worship and praise, which we believe maintains a freedom in worship that is pleasing to God. We endeavor through the excellence of instrumentation to enhance the worship experience for each worshipper. Dress is casual and services last about an hour.
Our First Kids worship experiences are designed to demonstrate the love of Jesus to our K-5th graders in a way that is exciting, engaging, and encouraging. Each week they learn biblical truths that are foundational in developing their faith through interactive games, high-energy worship, dynamic teaching in various formats, hands-on application activities in a small group setting, and time spent building relationships with their leaders and peers. We also provide families with tools to use throughout the week at home to reinforce the truths the kids are getting on Sunday mornings.
Wednesday's at 6:00pm
Wednesday evening is when our student worship takes place. We strive to create an environment for all middle and high school students to hear Gods word and how to apply it to their current stage in their lives. We start off with a meal at 6:00 pm. Then we have a time of worship through music. A message that applies specifically to students is followed by a small group session to discuss further. Groups are divided by age and gender.
